Bavarian State Exhibition 2026 in Zwiesel
The 2026 Bavarian State Exhibition will take place from 25 April to 8 November 2026 in Freyung in the Bavarian Forest, under the title ‘Music in Bavaria’. In the newly built ‘TonYversum’, visitors can look forward to an interactive journey through time, exploring the Free State’s diverse musical culture, accompanied by almost 200 days of live music.
Grafenau Folk Festival 3–8 July 2026
The Grafenau Folk Festival is known far beyond the borders of the Bavarian Forest as one of the oldest and, above all, most beautiful ‘Waidla’ festivals in the world.

The new year has begun, and so has winter. Everything is now covered in snow and ready for your winter wonderland. Enjoy the white landscape on walks, hikes, and tours around Rachel and Lusen, perhaps also the gorge in Spiegelau or the Neuschönau animal enclosure in the national park, or maybe soon while cross-country skiing or downhill skiing.
